How do I prepare my multitracks for mixing?
The most important thing is that all your individual tracks start at the exact same time (0:00 in your DAW). This ensures everything lines up perfectly on my end. Please bypass any plugins on your master bus. Don’t worry if you’re not a technical expert—just export the tracks, pack them into a ZIP file, and I’ll let you know if I need anything else!
Should I bypass all my effects (EQ, reverb, delay)?
It depends on the effect! If a plugin is an essential part of your sound design (like a specific guitar amp, a creative filter, or a distinct vocal delay), please leave it on. If it’s just general EQ or compression, it’s usually best to bypass it. If you are ever unsure, you can simply send both a “dry” (without effects) and a “wet” (with effects) version of that specific track.
What audio format should I send?
High-quality WAV, FLAC, or AIFF files (24-bit) are ideal. But don’t stress too much about the technical specifications—just send the best quality you can easily export from your software.
Do you mix my specific genre?
Yes! I work with all genres. Whether it’s an organic indie folk song, a heavy rock track, an electronic beat, or a cinematic orchestral piece, I will adjust my approach to fit the style, vibe, and energy of your music.
How does the free mix sample work?
It is completely risk-free. You upload your files, and I will mix a representative part of your song (usually the main chorus or the busiest section). I will send it back to you within 2–4 days. If you love the direction, we can proceed with the full mix. If not, there are absolutely no costs or obligations.
What if I want something changed in the final mix?
Revisions are included! Mixing is a collaborative process, and my main goal is to bring your artistic vision to life. If you feel the vocals need to be a bit louder, the bass needs more warmth, or a certain transition needs a different vibe, just let me know. We will tweak it until you are 100% happy with the result.
Do I need to send a reference track?
It is not mandatory, but it is highly recommended. A reference track (or even just a YouTube link to a song you like the sound of) helps me understand your sonic vision and the overall vibe you are aiming for.
