What Makes Overstratum Earth Different
Most bass enhancers just slap some EQ and distortion on the low end. The problem with that approach is phase shift. When you boost lows with standard minimum phase EQs you mess up the delicate phase relationship between your kick and your bass track.
Earth fixes this by using a massive 2047 tap linear phase low pass filter. This means it isolates your sub frequencies from 30Hz to 120Hz with perfect phase accuracy. No smearing, no punch lost. It is completely phase locked to your original signal.
The Magic of Harmonic Weight
Once Earth isolates the sub bass it applies a custom harmonic weight saturator. Pure sub bass is often hard to hear on smaller speakers or laptops. Earth generates rich even and odd harmonics using asymmetric distortion and soft tape clipping.
This makes your 808s, synth basses, and orchestral low strings translate perfectly on any playback system while keeping the fundamental frequency thick and heavy.
Thump Dynamics for Maximum Control
Uncontrolled sub bass will instantly trigger your master limiter and ruin your overall track loudness. To prevent this, Earth features a built in thump dynamics section. It uses a tailored compression algorithm with a 30ms attack to let the initial kick punch through, followed by a smooth release to clamp down on the sustained rumble.
This ensures your low end stays huge but tightly controlled.
