Here is the new Woodwinds sample library. The collection is built around four beautiful, dedicated sections: Bassoon, Flute, Oboe, and Clarinet.
Each of these instruments comes equipped with both sustain and staccato articulations, and you can seamlessly swap between these playing styles using either your MIDI keyswitches or the simple drop-down menu right on the interface.
When it comes to the overall sonic character, this woodwind collection is truly silkily brilliant. It beautifully marries a smooth, airy texture with wonderfully crisp highs. The sound stage is also highly three-dimensional, giving you a deep spatial image that results from an intricate blend of warmth and close-up detail. Even though these are woodwinds, the sound remains highly assertive, ensuring your melodies stay present and clearly defined in a busy track. Whether you are building up to a cinematically massive, Hollywood-style woodwind choir or writing a soft, intimate solo, the library delivers a lyrically precise performance. It perfectly captures the breathing, human element of wind instruments alongside strict technical accuracy.
Diving into the engine, every patch is driven by multiple velocity-triggered round robins to keep your fast passages sounding natural. The dynamic velocity layers are smoothly linked to your CC1 modwheel, letting you ride the emotion of every phrase. The built-in effects panel offers everything you need to sculpt the sound directly within Decent Sampler. You have access to high and low cut filters, a great selection of 10 impulse response reverbs, a tempo-synced delay, envelope controls for attack and release, and realistic legato glides. Naturally, all the audio files are rendered in flawless 24-bit, 44.1 kHz.
A big shoutout goes to Versilian Studios for the pristine original source recordings, while all the heavy lifting for audio editing, programming, and fine-tuning was meticulously handled by Overstratum Audio. To help you jump straight into the music, the CC1 and CC11 controllers are pre-mapped for instant expressive control out of the gate. Furthermore, the flute, oboe, clarinet, and bassoon have been carefully volume-matched against one another. The entire ensemble is completely mix-ready, so you can simply load it up and let your creativity flow.
