Orchestra (Decent Sampler Library)

The Orchestra Sample Library includes more than 30 virtual instruments (strings, woodwinds, brass, keys, tonal percussion, drums and trailer tools) with several articulations and great-sounding effects.

Including legato glides, 16 high-quality IR reverbs, DAW-synced delay, multiple round robins and modwheel-controlled velocity layers, panning, and more. Read below for detailed information. For Decent Sampler only (V1.13.0 or newer)!

The library is available exclusively for the Decent Sampler plugin format and does not require any activation process, online authorization, or copy-protection management. Installation is straightforward and designed to work without additional licensing steps. It is supported on Windows, macOS, and Linux systems, and the overall footprint is lightweight for efficient use even in resource-conscious setups. No external plugins are required to play or shape the instruments — all essential controls are built in.

The library currently contains 30+ instruments and sections, organized into the following categories:

Strings: Bass, Celli, Violas, Violins, Solo Violin
Brass: Tuba, Horns, Trombones, Trumpets
Woodwinds: Bassoon, Oboe, Clarinet, Flute
Keys: Piano, Organ, Organ Pedal
Tonal Percussion: Glockenspiel, Marimba, Timpani, Harp, Xylophone, Tubular Bells
Trailer Tools: Braam Engine, Trailer Kit, Synth Bass Stabs, Sub Bass
Ensembles: Brass Ensemble, Woodwinds Ensemble, Strings Ensemble
Additional: Epic Choir and Drum Kit

Most instruments are built as performance patches designed around a fast composing workflow. Articulations such as sustains and staccatos are velocity-separated and controlled through multiple modwheel-driven velocity layers, allowing expressive dynamics without the need for keyswitches. Each patch includes 4 round robins to reduce repetition. Available articulations across the library include sustains, staccatos, pizzicatos, and tremolos.

The library was originally developed for my personal scoring workflow, with an emphasis on speed and direct MIDI programming (for example, switching between sustains and staccatos via velocity instead of keyswitches). After extensive internal use, I decided to prepare it for public release.

The collection contains more than 16,000 samples in 24-bit quality. Most recordings were produced professionally at Versilian Studios. The deep sub bass and the epic choir were created and recorded by me.

All orchestral instruments are level-matched and balanced relative to each other (pre-mixed), so arrangements can be built quickly without extensive gain staging. This makes it possible to start composing immediately with a coherent overall sound.

Each instrument includes built-in sound shaping tools:
– 16 custom IR reverbs with adjustable mix control
– High-pass and low-pass filters
– Panning control
– DAW-synced delay
– Attack and release controls
– Glide knob for legato-style transitions
